This is a sketch of some of the ruins at Hightower, a place that features in Alagriel I. It will be visited many times as it’s at the crossroads where the road to the Westmarch branches off of the King’s Road towards Ford Inn. It’s marked on the Map of the Westmarch, To the north is Pearson, the seat of the Baron of Sheffield and to the east, the King’s road continues past several minor towns towards Duilhac. Hightower is typical of many chartered Caravan Inns and has a fortified tower that is all that is left of earlier fortifications. It is a hamlet centered on the Inn, with some families in permanent residence. Most Caravan Inns have temporary summer residents and the same is true for Hightower.
In setting, I feel that this sketch might belong in one of Cyrus Sardinus’ guidebooks.
